Culinary Alchemy Academy sells access to digital educational content. Because subscriptions provide online access to video lessons, educational materials, and related features, refunds are not automatically available in all circumstances once access has been granted. This policy is intended to explain the rules clearly before a customer subscribes.
1. General Principle
Subscription fees are charged for access to digital content during a defined billing period. When access is granted and the service is made available, refunds are generally limited because the product is delivered digitally and may be used immediately after purchase.
However, we review refund requests in good faith when there is a duplicate charge, billing error, unresolved technical access problem, or another circumstance that qualifies under this policy or under applicable law.
2. Situations That May Qualify for Refund Review
We may review and, where appropriate, issue a full or partial refund in situations such as:
- Duplicate charges for the same subscription period.
- Billing errors, such as an incorrect charge amount or accidental multiple processing of the same order.
- Technical access failure where the customer cannot reasonably access purchased content because of a verifiable platform issue that we are unable to resolve within a reasonable time after notice.
- Unauthorized transaction reports, subject to reasonable verification and any payment-provider investigation.
- Mandatory consumer rights that require a refund under applicable law.
3. Initial Annual Plan Courtesy Review
For an initial purchase of the Annual Master plan, we may review a refund request submitted within 14 days of the original payment date if the account has not substantially used the service. Factors we may consider include:
- Whether a large portion of the library has already been viewed or downloaded for offline access, if applicable.
- Whether personal chef feedback, certificate review, or other individualized services have already been requested or delivered.
- Whether the request appears to involve misuse, repeated refunds, or other abusive behavior.
This courtesy review applies only to the first annual purchase and does not guarantee approval in every case.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are generally not provided in the following situations:
- You forgot to cancel before the next renewal date and continued to have access to the service.
- You changed your mind after receiving access to the course library, except where a specific exception in this policy applies.
- You did not use the service during the active billing period.
- Your dissatisfaction relates to personal preference, learning pace, ingredient availability, or your own kitchen setup rather than a failure to provide the purchased service.
- Your account was suspended or terminated for violating the Terms of Service.
5. Monthly and Quarterly Plans
Monthly Pass and Quarterly Pro subscriptions are generally non-refundable once the current billing period has started and digital access has been granted, except in the case of duplicate charges, billing errors, proven technical access failures, or other rights that cannot be excluded by law.
6. Renewal Charges
Renewal charges are generally non-refundable if the subscription was not canceled before the renewal date and access continued during the renewed term. If you believe a renewal charge was made in error, contact us promptly so we can review the account history, billing status, and timing of any cancellation request.
7. How to Request a Refund Review

- Your full name and the email used for purchase.
- The subscription plan purchased.
- The date and amount of the charge.
- A brief explanation of the issue.
- Any relevant screenshots or payment references, if available.
Please contact us as soon as possible after the charge or problem occurs. For the most efficient review, requests relating to technical access or billing concerns should be sent within 14 days.
8. Review Process
We review each request individually. During the review, we may examine account activity, access logs, payment confirmations, prior communication history, and whether the service was delivered as described. We may ask for additional information if needed to verify the request.
If a refund is approved, we will generally attempt to return funds through the original payment method where possible. Processing times depend on the payment provider and the customer's bank or card issuer.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is unauthorized or fraudulent, please contact us first if possible so we can investigate quickly. You also retain the right to contact your payment provider or card issuer. If a chargeback is filed, access to the service may be limited while the payment dispute is being reviewed.
10. No Waiver of Mandatory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law. If local consumer protection law provides greater rights than this policy, those mandatory legal rights will apply to the extent required.
